Together, we crafted a vibrant, social-first animation that follows one woman’s journey as she discovers how simple, affordable, and empowering online learning can be. Packed with energy, charm, and DPG’s trademark “no-nonsense” attitude, the ad shows that levelling up your career doesn’t have to cost the earth.

Making Career Growth Simple

Career development can often feel complicated — full of jargon, high price tags, and endless promises. For DPG, one of the UK’s leading providers of online HR and L&D qualifications, that was exactly the perception they wanted to change. Their goal was clear: show that upskilling doesn’t have to be expensive or intimidating. It can be simple, affordable, and genuinely life-changing.

We partnered with DPG to create a bold, story-driven advert designed to bring that message to life. Built for social platforms, the piece needed to be concise, fun, and full of personality — the kind of scroll-stopping content that feels fresh, modern, and unmistakably DPG.

Following One Character’s Journey

Using their signature Mascha Tace vector animation style, the ad follows one central character — a young woman who dreams of developing her career but feels trapped by the confusion and cost of traditional education. When we first meet her, she’s standing outside a university building, looking stressed as bills pile up in her hands. Animated swirls and question marks capture her growing sense of frustration and overwhelm, and as rain begins to fall, we see how heavy the journey to self-improvement can feel.

Then, everything changes. The DPG “worm” swoops in, quite literally lifting her out of the storm and dropping her into a calmer, brighter world. Suddenly, she’s at home, sitting at her desk with a warm coffee and her laptop. The stress melts away as she begins her online studies with DPG.

Affordable Learning, Made Fun

Throughout the video, we emphasised DPG’s biggest selling point: practical, affordable, and flexible learning. The character is shown moving through a series of vibrant locations — a café, a park, a train — studying from anywhere with ease. Each new environment reinforces the message that DPG’s courses are 100% online and built to fit around real lives.

As she studies, friendly tutors appear from her screen in small animated bubbles, offering advice and encouragement. This playful touch brings the human side of DPG’s learning experience to life — expert support that’s never far away.

Key brand messages like “Affordable”, “Flexible”, “100% Online”, and “FCA Approved” appear dynamically across the screen in roundels, inspired by DPG’s social branding. The tone stays upbeat, confident, and clutter-free — just like the learning experience itself.

No Hidden Surprises

Midway through, the ad reinforces DPG’s no-nonsense promise: “Low deposits. Monthly payments. 0% interest.” These phrases animate across the frame in sync with our character’s movements, underlining the simplicity and transparency of the DPG offering.

In a light-hearted twist, the postman from the opening scene reappears — but this time, he’s not delivering bills. Instead, he hands over a DPG certificate, complete with a “Congratulations!” badge and trophy icon. Our character beams with pride as confetti bursts around her — a fun, satisfying payoff to her journey.

Levelling Up, Together

As the camera pulls back, we see she’s not alone. Across a grid of screens, hundreds of other animated characters are also studying, representing the thousands of learners who’ve already upgraded their careers with DPG. It’s a vibrant, community-driven finale that reinforces DPG’s reach and relatability.

The DPG worm makes one final appearance, carrying us through to the closing line:
“Level up — the no-nonsense way.”
