When Ben & Jerrys dropped their big new flavour for 2023, Dulce Delish, we were all in. Sundaes are a universal favourite, and no one does them better than Ben & Jerrys! We jumped at the chance to craft the concept, draw up the storyboards, and bring this delectable TV ad to life. The ad didnt just stop at Europe—it also made its way onto digital signs and social media, spreading the Dulce Delish love far and wide.

Scooping Up Something Truly Delish

When Ben & Jerry’s dropped their big new flavour for 2023 — Dulce Delish — we couldn’t wait to get stuck in. Sundaes are a universal favourite, and no one does them better than Ben & Jerry’s. So when we were asked to help introduce this indulgent newcomer to the world, we knew we had to make something just as irresistible as the ice cream itself.

The Sundae range gets its name from the delicious layers that take their classic tubs to the next level. Beneath the lid, you’ll find the signature Ben & Jerry’s ice cream you know and love — but on top sits a thick, creamy whipped topping, finished with generous chunks of Fairtrade chocolate. It’s a spoonful of pure joy, and Dulce Delish takes that experience to caramel heaven.

Our job was to bring that decadence to life through a TV ad that didn’t just show the flavour — it made people feel it.

From Concept to Cinema Screen

We were brought in right from the start to shape the creative direction. Working closely with the Ben & Jerry’s team, we developed the concept, crafted the storyboards, and mapped out a visual world that would feel as bold, playful, and deliciously over-the-top as the flavour itself.

The big idea was simple: celebrate the indulgence of Dulce Delish. With its layers of caramel swirls, creamy textures, and chocolatey crunch, it deserved to be shown off in all its glory. So we built a concept that leaned into that sense of overindulgence — a sumptuous visual feast that would make viewers crave a spoonful before the first scene was over. While Dulce Delish led the campaign, the ad also showcased two other Sundae flavours — Choco-lotta Cheesecake and Caramel Café, the vegan-friendly sister to Dulce Delish. Each flavour brought its own personality to the screen, with unique colours, textures, and energy that made the trio feel like a perfectly balanced family of sundaes.

From the creamy caramel ribbons of Dulce Delish to the rich chocolate swirls of Choco-lotta Cheesecake and the smooth, plant-based layers of Caramel Café, the ad became a love letter to all things spoonable, shareable, and deliciously excessive.

A Flavour Worth Sharing

Once the ad was finished, it didn’t just stay on TV. The Sundae campaign rolled out across Europe and beyond — popping up on digital billboards, in cinemas, and all over social media. We created cut-down versions and motion assets tailored for different platforms. Seeing Dulce Delish, Choco-lotta Cheesecake, and Caramel Café side by side across screens worldwide gave the campaign real impact — a trio that worked together to show just how far Ben & Jerry’s has taken the art of the sundae.

That cross-platform adaptability was part of the fun. The TV spot was the hero piece, but the digital versions gave us room to play — shorter edits, looping moments, and playful motion graphics that kept the campaign feeling fresh across every format.

Capturing the Ben & Jerry’s Spirit

Working with Ben & Jerry’s means more than just showing off great ice cream — it’s about capturing their personality: cheeky, inclusive, and full of heart. We made sure that every frame reflected that tone. The music, pacing, and colour palette were all designed to feel bright, bold, and full of life — like a celebration in a tub.

Even behind the camera, the energy matched the brand. We obviously had to stack the office freezers with a few tubs for… inspiration. And hey, it worked.

The finished ad is a feast for the senses: rich, warm, and dripping with personality. It doesn’t just introduce a new flavour — it celebrates the art of indulgence itself, and everything that makes Ben & Jerry’s who they are — playful, indulgent, and impossible to resist. From the silky whipped topping to those Fairtrade chocolate chunks, the Sundae range headed up by Dulce Delish is all about the joy of the little extras that make life sweet.

From TV screens to digital signs across Europe, Dulce Delish and the other sundae flavours made their mark, leaving audiences everywhere craving a taste. For us, this project was a chance to bring a little sweetness to the screen and share in the joy of a brand that always knows how to make life (and ice cream) that bit more delicious.
