Two bold new flavours deserved an equally bold launch. For Ben & Jerry’s Churrifically Churros-y and Strawberry Doughnut-eee, we created a multi-platform campaign spanning cinema, TV and social, combining mouth-watering studio-shot food photography with Ben & Jerry’s signature animated world to celebrate every swirl, chunk and spoonful.

Two New Flavours. Double the Indulgence.

When Ben & Jerry’s introduces a new flavour, it’s never just another tub of ice cream—it’s a whole new personality waiting to be discovered.

For the launch of Churrifically Churros-y and Strawberry Doughnut-eee, we were tasked with creating a campaign that celebrated everything people love about Ben & Jerry’s: bold flavours, playful storytelling and seriously irresistible food.

Building on the visual language we’d developed together across previous campaigns, we created a hero campaign that launched across cinema, television and social media. The project included a 30-second cinema advert, a 20-second TV commercial, alongside 15, 10 and 6-second edits designed specifically for digital and social platforms.

No matter where audiences discovered the campaign, the goal was the same: to make them crave that very first spoonful.

Bringing New Flavours to Life

Every Ben & Jerry’s flavour has its own character, and these two couldn’t have been more fun to work with.

Churrifically Churros-y celebrates everything people love about the classic Spanish treat, packed with cinnamon flavours, crunchy churro-inspired pieces and rich caramel swirls.

Alongside it sat Strawberry Doughnut-eee, combining fruity sweetness with indulgent doughnut-inspired flavours to create another unmistakably Ben & Jerry’s creation.

Rather than simply telling people what was inside the tubs, we wanted every frame to communicate the texture, colour and indulgence that makes opening a Ben & Jerry’s tub such a satisfying experience.

Real Food. Real Appetite Appeal.

As with many of our Ben & Jerry’s campaigns, real food cinematography sat right at the heart of the production.

Working closely alongside an experienced food styling team, we spent time in the studio carefully preparing each flavour to look its absolute best on camera. Every scoop, every swirl and every chunky inclusion was meticulously positioned to showcase the products exactly as Ben & Jerry’s intended.

Capturing ice cream isn’t as simple as it looks. Timing is everything. Lighting has to make every ripple and texture sing, while the product itself needs to stay looking perfectly fresh under hot studio lights.

Using macro cinematography, we captured rich caramel ribbons stretching through the ice cream, generous tasty chunks dotted throughout the creamy ice cream and beautifully sculpted scoops that looked almost too good to eat.

Almost.

Blending Reality with Animation

Once we’d captured the live-action food photography, it was time to combine it with the vibrant animated world we’d established across our previous Ben & Jerry’s collaborations.

This hybrid approach has become something of a signature for the campaigns we create together.

The real ice cream provides all the delicious texture and appetite appeal, while the colourful 3D environments inject the fun, humour and unmistakable Ben & Jerry’s personality audiences know and love.

The result feels playful without ever losing sight of the hero—the product itself.

Bright colours, dynamic camera moves, imaginative transitions and our good friend Woody the cow all help transport viewers into a world that’s every bit as joyful as the flavours inside the tub.

Built for Every Platform

From the outset, the campaign was designed to work wherever people encountered it.

The longer cinema and television edits gave us room to celebrate both flavours and immerse audiences in the colourful Ben & Jerry’s universe, while the shorter social versions delivered quick bursts of energy designed to stop people scrolling.

Rather than simply trimming the hero film, every edit was carefully considered to make sure the message landed in just a few seconds, whether it appeared on Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook or paid social.

The result was a flexible campaign that maintained its impact across every format.

Continuing the Ben & Jerry’s Story

One of the things we love most about working with Ben & Jerry’s is that every launch is an opportunity to push the creative a little further while staying true to everything people already love about the brand.

For Churrifically Churros-y and Strawberry Doughnut-eee, that meant combining beautifully crafted food cinematography with playful animation, imaginative storytelling and a production process built around making every spoonful look irresistible.

It’s another chapter in a creative partnership that’s seen us launch flavours, build animated worlds and bring countless tubs of ice cream to life.

And somehow, after all that time in the studio surrounded by Ben & Jerry’s, we still managed not to eat all the props. Well… almost.
