We helped launch the new Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwich range with a fully integrated campaign spanning cinema, TV and social, combining mouth-watering studio-shot food photography with Ben & Jerry’s signature 3D animated world to create a campaign that looked every bit as irresistible as the product itself.

Some ideas are so brilliantly simple you wonder why nobody thought of them sooner. Ben & Jerry’s asked themselves a simple question: How do we fit even more Cookie Dough into one product?
The answer? Take their iconic Cookie Dough ice cream, sandwich it between two soft chocolate and vanilla cookies, and create an entirely new way to enjoy one of their most loved flavours.
Our job was to launch it in a way that felt every bit as playful, indulgent and unmistakably Ben & Jerry’s as the product itself.
Working alongside the Ben & Jerry’s team, we produced a hero campaign that rolled out as a 30-second cinema commercial, a 20-second TV advert and a complete suite of shorter edits in 15, 10 and 6-second formats for social media and digital platforms.
Building on an Established World
Over several campaigns, we’d helped develop a distinctive 3D animated world for Ben & Jerry’s, one packed with vibrant colours, playful movement and the quirky personality the brand is famous for.
For the Ice Cream Sandwich launch, we expanded that world even further.
The challenge was striking the perfect balance between fantasy and appetite appeal. Ben & Jerry’s playful visual identity is one of the brand’s greatest strengths, but when you’re introducing an entirely new product, people still need to see just how delicious it really is.
The solution was to combine beautifully shot real food footage with the colourful animated universe we’d already established across previous campaigns.
Bringing the Product to Life
The delicious-looking cookie you see on screen started life in our studio.
We carefully lit and filmed the product using macro photography, capturing every detail of the cookie. The aim was to showcase the textures that make the Ice Cream Sandwich so satisfying with the soft cookie and it’s enticing sugar crystals.
Rather than relying entirely on animation, shooting the real product gave the campaign an authenticity that audiences instinctively respond to. Those live-action elements were then seamlessly integrated into our animated world, allowing the product to become part of Ben & Jerry’s unmistakable universe without losing any of its appetite appeal.
Fantasy Meets Food
Once inside the animated world, the Ice Cream Sandwich became the hero.
Playful transitions, energetic camera moves and colourful environments gave the campaign a sense of fun and momentum, while the real product remained front and centre throughout.
This hybrid production approach allowed us to celebrate everything people love about Ben & Jerry’s — the humour, the imagination and the personality — while making sure the new Ice Cream Sandwich looked genuinely irresistible.
It’s a style we’ve refined over multiple campaigns with the brand, blending tactile food cinematography with animation in a way that feels completely seamless.

From the very beginning, the campaign was designed to live across multiple platforms.
The 30-second cinema version allowed us to fully immerse audiences in the playful Ben & Jerry’s world, giving the story room to breathe on the big screen.
The 20-second television commercial delivered the same impact at a faster pace, while the 15, 10 and 6-second edits distilled the idea into punchy, attention-grabbing moments built specifically for social media and digital advertising.
Rather than feeling like simple cut-downs, each version was carefully crafted to work in its own right, ensuring the campaign stayed engaging wherever people encountered it.
