We had the honour of working with them to create a series of videos that shine a light on the incredible impact they’re making. We’re proud to have played a part in sharing their inspiring journey and helping to spread their message of hope and opportunity.
Purpose with Heart
The Pret Foundation is all about making a difference where it’s needed most—supporting people experiencing or at risk of homelessness, helping them find employment, rebuild their lives, and rediscover a sense of community and confidence. So when we were invited to collaborate with them on a series of films, we knew this wasn’t just another video brief about marketing, it was about storytelling with purpose. It was a chance to help amplify a mission that truly matters.
Real Stories, Real Change
At the heart of the campaign were the people whose lives have been transformed by the Foundation. We focused on capturing honest, human stories—without gloss or gimmicks. These are individuals who’ve faced real challenges and, with the support of the Pret Foundation and its Rising Stars programme, have found a way forward.
The video we produced gives a voice to those journeys. From walking through the doors of Pret on their very first day to becoming valued team members with newfound confidence and independence, each story showcases the power of opportunity. These are stories of second chances—and they carry a quiet kind of power that lingers long after the videos ends.
Filming with Sensitivity
Working on this series meant treading with care and respect. We weren’t just showing stories—we were being trusted to tell them right. Every shoot was approached with sensitivity and flexibility. We took time to get to know each person, to hear their experience first-hand, and to film in a way that felt comfortable and authentic to them.
We also worked closely with the Pret Foundation team throughout the process, ensuring that every creative decision aligned with the values and ethos of the organisation. These stories didn’t need embellishment—the honesty and resilience of the people featured was powerful enough on its own.
A Tone That Reflects the Mission
From a creative standpoint, the tone had to feel right. It needed to be warm but not sentimental, grounded but still hopeful. The visual style was kept clean and human-focused—natural lighting, quiet sound design, and thoughtful pacing allowed the emotion and truth of each story to lead the way.
We also made sure to include the voices of Pret colleagues and support teams, highlighting the community that exists behind the counter. It’s not just the individuals who are on a journey—it’s the whole organisation, working together to make change possible.
More Than a Video Series
These films have gone on to live across a range of channels—from internal comms and partner engagement to social media and public events. But more importantly, they’ve become tools for empathy.
